Old-School...Dorr Style

I love this old school family picture of the Dorr's. But even better...why is John shirtless?? Leave a comment to write your own creative caption for this picture :)

Go Green...not so much

When we bought our new house in April, one of the first things John wanted to do was cut a whole bunch of trees down. We seriously have a little forest of our own, and he hates it! We saved up for a while, and are in the process of cutting down twelve trees between the front and backyard! It's amazing what a difference just a few less trees make!

It was so funny to watch John during the process of the trees being cut down! He was so scared the guy would fall out of the tree, and die! I got a good picture of John's face watching the guy wayyyy up in the tree. Here are some pictures of this past weekend's tree adventures! We're having about five more trees cut down this weekend.

Some people save trees...we cut 'em down!

Time flies

Well, there hasn't been anything huge in the life of the Dorr's over the last few months. John and I were just saying this morning that we can't believe next week is November already! I can't believe fall is almost over, and of course the next season of Christmas will fly by too!

We've been pretty busy with back to school, home improvement projects on the inside, and outside of the house, hanging out with friends, and just everyday life. We are doing some major work to our front and backyard. We're having a total of 12 trees removed over the next few weekends. This past weekend, 4 were cut down, and we're having about 5 or 6 more cut down this weekend too!

We could really use your prayers over the next few months. John and I have decided that we're ready to start trying to have a baby again after taking about a year off. We have a few options that we're going to explore: fertility treatments, adoption, and of course natural trying (how do you word that??). We've really enjoyed, and still do, our time together just the two of us, but we both feel ready to add a 3rd Dorr to the mix. Please keep us in your prayers, as this is a very sensative area for us, specifically me.

Overall, life is going well. We are so blessed to have amazing family, and friends.

Welcome...
EVAN RHYS MCDADE

Our good friends for years from NY had their first baby yesterday, Evan Rhys (Reese) McDade. He is absolutely perfect! I am so happy for Jen and Jon! They are going to be funny, loving, caring, involved, and Godly parents. Who could ask for more??!! I'm sure they'll put up cool pictures up on their blog over the next few days!

Soooooo close....!

I am so happy for my friends Jen and Jon. They are sooooo close to being parents! My good friend from NY, Jen McDade is about a week overdue, and today she started having contractions.

I told her a few weeks ago to call/text me as soon as even the littleist (word?) thing started to happen, b/c I'm so sad I can't be up in NY for this event! I love Jen and Jon so much! I've been good friends w/Jen since high school, and they both will make AMAZING parents! I hope this is the day that Baby McDade makes his appearance!

Haunted Trail...

We were invited by some friends to go to the Haunted Trail in Gloucester last weekend. We declined because neither of us are into scaring things. We were invited again this weekend, and decided to go. I was sooo scared before we got there. (I even prayed that God would protect me!) My friend who's dad owns the Haunted Trail left me this text message-

"Don't worry Leah, they aren't allowed to touch, chase, or grab you."

Oh my word...I would hope not!! We had a good buddy system on the trail. Courtney protected me the whole time. It wasn't too scary. I was startled a few times, but it was way better that I had worked up in my mind. Here are some pictures. It was actually really cold last night! After the trail, we went to a friends house and played games. Good times!
